It is undeniably better than 2. Graphically it looks nice. It had some good music, some good voice acting, etc. The writing isn't utterly horrendous and you can actually be a dick in the game (so points over Veilguard), but it just isn't very good. It never was. I don't know how anyone who is a fan of Origins could be a huge fan of this game. The only way you could justify liking it is if you played 2 and then this right after because 2 is just that fucking bad.
It is, unfortunately, the second best Dragon Age game. It somehow has better facial animations than Veilguard, and Veilguard came out like a decade later.
