Literally everything was fine in 2010. You could build a mid range desktop for $1000 without even scrounging and all was well. We really had it good.
Then the China bitcoin miners showed up and bought all the GPUs and pushed up the prices. Then the AI bubble happened and they demanded even more and turned GPUs into a strategic asset and launched trade wars to corner the GPU market.
They just come and fucked with us for no reason we were minding our own business. Now a midrange desktop costs $5000 and they're locking us out of our own hobby. We were here first. We kept NVidia and AMD alive and prosperous for 20 years. And this is how they repay us with a stab in the back.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I dunno which gpu to get I already got 9800x3d and x870 but I want a fucking great gpu I could buy a fucking 5090 but it feels like an absolute waste of money considering it'll be outdated in less than 3 years..... I am gonna slam a 3070 into the 9800x3d when it gets delivered. Btw I got the 3070 during convid shit so I paid $1400 for that mid shit
