For years everyone in this ""fandom"" told me the vessels are genderless and corrected me each time I referred to them as sons, or male.
But now those same people are justifying Silksong's female focus by saying it's normal for game 2 to be about mothers & daughters when game 1 was about fathers & sons.

Funny how that works.

I am playing through the first Hollow Knight for the second time since 2019.

And I think after you get the Voidheart, the Knight's horns should've grown a bit to look slightly like the silhouette of the Shade Lord. I think a lot of people don't realize the Knight and the Shade Lord are the same entity is because the Knight's baby horns are kind of shit and look nothing like the shape of the Shade Lord.

I have about 100h of the first game (granted that it was years ago) and completed both P5 and PoP.. but Silksong is kicking my ass like I'm a total noob
Hornet is so squishy and the enemies are much harder to fight in direct melee. I really like her mobility though it's super fun to sprint and hop and ledgegrab.

Overall it's pretty fun so far but Pharloom is not grabbing my attention the same way Hallownest & the Vessels did.
