Oh boy. Not only did they change the tone of the series substantially by removing the original OST, they arguably misunderstood the genre entirely and tried to make Syaoran the deuteragonist.

The dub version (let me just add, real fast here, that saying "suh-COOR-uh" should be slappable) removes all sense of wonder and triumph and heroism from the scene, and it removes everything that happens subconsciously when you play a character's leimotif. This is Sakura's moment. She's fucking FLYING, dude. She's actually doing the thing. That shot of the city from way up in the air from her POV is supposed to inspire awe and "WOW" as much as terror and peril.
Take the problem present there, and understand that they did it to the whole show. It wasn't Cardcaptor Sakura.
