Its not hard. I've played a female character for a decade. I don't think its "literally me" though.
I don't like ERP (its boring), but I have done it before a long long time ago, and the way I saw it was just basically since I'm controlling the girl, I was just making her do what I'd what a girl to do if I was the guy in that situation, or what I'd like to see a girl do.

Archers, mages, healers, and rogues are female.
Warriors, paladins, and barbarians are male.
End of story.
Except elves since there are no male elves so I pick the ones with boobs.

relating and resonating with the scriptures is fine, it just gets wacky when it gets that level of delusional perspective and intake, i think it can be said the bible was written about the struggles of man, and tries to bring lessons on those who struggle with their personal and spiritual direction

My Character is a neat little puppet that I do not have to relate to or emphasize with at all. I am in complete control. no amount of mental gymnastics will ever convince me that I am that character.
