>I haven't played HD2 since shortly after launch, have they made the game significantly easier? The last time I played it was punishingly difficult because every gun shot nerf darts except for the railgun and then they nerfed the railgun.
They've reached the point where bots are contractually obligated to shoot NEAR you for dramatic effect instead of AT you. If they hit you, it's pretty much by accident. The chin guns on the AT-ATs are basically the only guns on the bot front that don't pull their punches.

The average pubbie doesn't notice this because 99% of them are wearing the shield diaper backpack, which increases your hitbox size enough that the "near" shots will hit the shield. It really gets their heart racing while they panic and hide until the shield recharges.

The bots don't need to move faster. They just need to actually aim AT us instead of NEAR us.

>The issue in your webm isn't the backpack, it's the totally neutered bot accuracy. They barely shoot anymore
Yep. Bots are contractually obligated to shoot NEAR you for the first few volleys instead of AT you. Any actual hits that they score are accidental. Except for factory strider chin guns. Those actually try to hit you.

>they hated him because he told the truth.
People don't want to accept this, but damn every bot enemy goes out of its way to deliberately miss you. They try to shoot near you for dramatic effect, and if they actually hit you it was an accident. Or alternatively they hit the player because they're wearing the plebbitor shield diaper that increases their hitbox size by 1000%.

Look at this shit.
>team hot drops into fortress
>Get caught with my pants down at close range against a hulk and rocket strider
>a raider on a fixed MG is nearby
>I should be ten types of fucked being stuck in the open like this
>look at all of these lasers and rockets. Oh my science it's like I'm actually in a war!
>the only enemy attack that "hits" me is a rocket that misses me entirely, hits a wall, and ragdolls me with the shockwave.
>even then the only hazard to my livelihood is that I dropped the strafing run beacon and god knows which direction that it's facing now.

I think damn near the only bot enemy that doesn't deliberately pull its punches for the first few attacks are the fang guns on the factory strider.
