why not make a game people want to play

I've been playing video games my entire life, but the majority of my time spent gaming, and I truly mean 99% of it, was spent playing competitive PvP games.

I'm working on small and simple singleplayer games to improve my development skills, and I genuinely have no idea what to make.

I'm beginning to believe the only thing I enjoyed about gaming was competing against other people.

Do I even like video games?

I don't know.

I need to figure this out.
