From the volume 1 afterword
>This work tackles themes of betrayal and bullying, distilling the darker aspects of human nature. While writing the web version, I received numerous comments specifically about bullying. It’s heartbreaking to see news of young students taking their lives due to bullying several times a year. In the comment sections and even through direct messages on social media, readers shared their personal experiences with bullying—something that must have been incredibly painful to revisit—and teachers struggling to address these issues shared their perspectives as well. Hearing things like, “I wish I’d had teachers like these back in school,” or “This ideal gave me a sense of hope,” made me deeply glad I wrote this story.
>Now, let me talk a bit about this book.
>The idea for this story came to me because many web novels tackling bullying often depict adults as being primarily concerned with self-preservation. I thought, What if I wrote a story where adults acted like responsible adults instead? Combining this with the theme of infidelity, I wanted to create a narrative where the protagonist, utterly broken, could begin to rebuild his life. I surrounded him with sincere friends, family, and teachers who would support and heal him (even though the protagonist himself is practically a saint).
>One character who garnered a significant reaction in the web version was Miyuki, the protagonist’s childhood friend who betrayed him. As a model student, she couldn’t afford to stray from the path, which led her to act out of self-interest. This was exploited by Kondo, the embodiment of malice, who used her to spark a catastrophic cycle of bullying. She’s essentially the story’s hidden protagonist, and the narrative explores how she confronts her guilt. While she’s not quite at that stage yet in this volume, her journey is central to the underlying storyline.
TL;DR
>it's the author's "adults aren't useless" fantasy
>Miyuki is the true MC

>Closest thing to something sexual is her belly which is barely even referenced as sexual and she moves past pretty quickly
This has got to be one of the dumbest nothingburgers I've seen in a little while.

Yeah I'd definitely say that's better imagery than I had, but it's wordier than I'd like for my story. I think I just need to do some writing exercises to get in the habit of using more vivid imagery.

Impressive, very nice. So the secret is just "write good," huh? I see.

I think everyone will find a workflow that works best for them, but I find that as long as I enjoy reading what I write, I'll win because there's more of what I like in the world and I can enjoy reading it later.
I know I'm in trouble when I go back and read something and I find it boring or don't like it. And I've definitely had stories in the past where I hit that point and had to stop writing.
