It has an excellent screen, good speakers, is comfortable with high quality buttons and controls, good enough internal hardware and it's completely open software on it's Linux OS. The Deck is the coolest console I've messed with hands down.

Left to greenpath, right to crystal peak, in both those areas you will find power-ups to increase your mobility. I would recommend exploring every area that doesn't require a long dash or double jump to get to first. Your life will be easier later on.

The Steam Deck 2 will probably release in 2-3 years. If you can wait then save your money. If not the Steam Deck OLED is a solid piece of hardware.

I might get the Switch 2 OLED when it releases, but by then there might be a Steam Deck OLED 2 so we'll see. Hollow Knight on the Deck OLED is amazing. Tendieniggers don't know what they're missing.
