Encore’s quest is the best companion story in the game.
Phrolova’s quest is the best main story quest in the game.

Meanwhile,
Shorekeeper’s quest is one of the most hated main story quests because of the asspull happy ending.
Ragunna’s happy ending, while it looks very good, feels lacking. Like the climax didn’t really hit.

So I guess the survey results came back as:

Instead of improving how they write happy endings so they don’t feel like deus ex machina solves all their problems, they decided to just write stories where the problems are never solved in the first place.

I really wish they'd have made Crownless a recurring villain. Am I the only one who thinks that? I just keep thinking back to his fight scene in the beta and going "Wow, that's cool, he actually has a lot of character to him." Like, yeah, the character is "Arrogant kung-fu guy" but that's still character...

You know, I wouldn't mind Wuwa's increasingly rigid teambuilding so much if the characters composing these teams had any relation to each other at all story wise. Changli doesn't know Brant doesn't know Lupa. Carlotta doesn't know Zhezhi and vice versa. NO ONE outside of the Black Shores is even aware Shokie exists. It's a massive bummer.

Can anyone tell me WHY Nightmare Kelpie seems to have a passive health sap in the latter half of his fight for NO discernible reason? Why? Why can I be doing the fight perfectly and mistime ONE bad dodge and eat a lethal attack I WOULD have survived had I had any health and now the fight's fucked because lol, lmao, Kelpie stinks so bad it kills me, I guess!? WHY!?

I've been throwing myself at the brick wall that is Kelpie IV for the past hour and I'm still struggling. I can be doing so well and then one bad combo kills someone and it snowballs from there. It's either the triple threat combo that ends with the mizudama or one of the kelpies snuck behind me off screen and hits me with a water wave. I'd keep trying but I think I'm tilted enough that its actually hurting my performance. Doesn't help that I didn't get to go visit my dad today because it was raining.
