>According to the Daily Mail, she screamed: 'Mum, the bear is eating me! Mum, it's such agony. Mum, help!'

>Tatiana revealed that she initially thought her daughter was joking, but then heard the bear growling and 'chewing'. She added: 'I could have died then and there from shock.'

>Olga called back a couple of times until, an hour later, she made her last call when the bears had apparently left her, saying: 'Mum, it's not hurting any more. I don't feel the pain. Forgive me for everything, I love you so much.'

Gf's grandma started losing her mind some 5+ years ago then spent her last year in a retirement home (2k rent a month) because she kept falling and running away. In the end she didn't remember anything, not her husband who she was married to for 60 years, her daughter or her niece. At least 50k were spent out of her family pocket (plus the meds paid by the state) to keep her in a living hell for half a decade despite her asking to kill her when she realised her mind was disintegrating
I do believe this is the mark of fully materialistic society, since all the values are in the material world any kind of life is preferable to the nothing thus no price is high enough for a single extra breath

Canto 8 is about family trauma and about le doing something if nothing le matters. It's pretty obvious the light did nothing.
