But real games do work like that. Like when you're 1cc'ing a shmup if you get dinged by a single bullet in stage 1 or 2 your whole run is ruined, even though those stages are piss easy, and as the difficulty increases in each stage eventually you're in stage 5 and your heart is literally pounding as you're like

Like its not a big deal to just clear stage 5 in training mode, stringing it all together is what's exciting. In silksong its more like a 20 second light jog, its an extremely mild version of that.
