This is the complaint that confuses me the most, optional bosses that are extra difficult is such a common staple of metroidvanias and should not come as a surprise. Beastfly is a tough fight, but you're very clearly not supposed to actually beat it until later on, once you've gotten a couple of upgrades.

My only real complaint about optimal bosses and areas so far is it doesn't feel like there's much of a reward for them. In HK you might find a new charm or a pale ore for weapon upgrades or something. So far most of the extra shit I'm finding is just rosaries and more rosaries. Might be fixed later with more content patches like the first game.

I could just be the minority. The dive/slash bounces, silk skills that build up a lot faster, and overall faster combat along with the air dash being able to cancel out of any animation makes me like it a lot.
