Anon, these are the "best guys" the current writer pool has left. And I don't mean that they're quality writers, but sans Hickman, there aren't any other "big names" left. Fraction and Gillen pop up every so often. But now the "ceiling" is Hickman and Ewing. Aaron and Snyder are big names with the zoom-zooms who have only ever read God Butcher and Nu52 Batman. This is DC trying their "best". Which is sad, period.
