The "vtubers" you're simping for have proven to literally be constantly seething over Hololive's success. They know they're second rate and straight up can't handle how much better it could be if they were actually likeable enough to get in.

I think its more that they have to be around an entire group of people who share a different opinion. They keep it locked down, but if they say something once then they're ostracized.
