Well, I've got some priority headcanons that would be cool to see in the actual game.
My favorite is perhaps Ralsei's struggle with how violent and ugly the fighting has been getting and the Fun Gang being forced to resort to fighting more often in the later chapters. It all comes to a head when Kris and Susie are knocked out, and Ralsei is the only thing separating them from a horde of Darkners possesed by the Knight's influence, so they are not necessarily evil by themselves and could be freed under better circumstances. Ralsei has to basically cast a powerful fire spell over their heads, harming some of them, to drive them away, very much shaken by this fact. As Kris comforts him, he asks what would he become if he actually had to kill, and we have the option to either tell him "You'd find a way not to" or "They had it coming".
Which one of the choices is more harmful is up in the air, but in a worse scenario Ralsei would reveal some time later that he buffed his Pacify spell to send enemies into a permanent blissful coma, with the positive being that they don't actually have to be tired for it to work. This way he sort of remains a pacifist, although in a very disturbing way, and it's clear that his sanity is slipping regardless.
Some sweet dreams later, we may choose to oppose Ralsei before it's too late, and he, feeling he still should save them, decides to apply the same treatment to Kris and Susie as well. He explains that the Prophecy spells doom for them either way an the odds are too slim, but at least nothing bad can happen in a dream. He offers to craft the most beautiful ream possible for Kris and gives the soul a dialog box with a whole colud of possible options, but as we try to choose, Kris makes a conscious effort not to think of anything in his paralyzed state, and all the options disappear as we approach them. Ralsei is heartbroken and sends Kris into a limbo of pure bliss, deleting all of his memories and senses one by one.

Pretty much, although considering how little pull he has among Darkners, he's more like the hermit with the crystal ball that everyone thinks is a bad omen. He's aware that his cheerful attitude and general cuteness are able to sway (You) to SOME extent that he cannot even gauge, so all he can do is just fanatically follow the algorithms and hope that his friends are spared. And we've seen what kind of strain trying to stay cutesy and two-dimensional puts on him already. I bet in the Weird Route he may be the one to break the game completely once he realizes his actions had no meaning and the player wanted to wreck shit anyway.
