>Why would I deny myself the fun minigames
Most actual RPGs have better minigames than Deltarune. Oh, and those games are actually complete.
>actual gameplay
Most RPGs also have better gameplay. Deltarune is built of Undertale. That game worked because it was "Save/Spare". Deltarune has some of the worst RPG gameplay in the industry. It's worse than Honkai Star Rail and thats saying something.
>just because the story is good
How do you know the story is good when it fucking isn't done yet? Toby can easily fuck it up within the next 3 chapters. You can't judge a story that isn't actually done.

Basically, you like Deltarune because you lack any standards. Play a better game rather than waiting for 9 years for less than 10 hours of game.

All this means is they needed to hire more people because, like they said, they need more people because game development needs more manpower. The issue is the industry isn't growing anymore but cost of development goes up. Publishers and analyst pushed for $70-80 games but all the sales data shows is they make less money. Even ToTK made less than BoTW was ToTK sold 66% of what the original game did (it needed to be within 84% to match). There is no solution other than to make smaller games but no one wants to do that, Nintendo included. It's either open world or they pick a design feature that take an eternity to implement (breaking shit in DK, the building shit in ToTK). We'll see if Nintendo can avoid the awful AAA sales, but looking at DK Bananza's Japanese sales, they may run into a similar problem that Sony and Microsoft did.

I mean, what successes are there to look at. I mean this in general. The best selling game of the year is going to be Monster Hunter Wilds and that still sold half of the first one. Most of these big successes are only selling a few million. Stellar Blade and Expedition 33 were around 3 million. That's not bad but it's nothing compared to what games were doing in the 2010s. The last major success was probably Palworld and Elden Ring before that. The number of megahits has drastically diminished and the "good" sales now are about the same numbers games were making in the 6th and early 7th generation. Sure, the decline of "woke" games isn't just the woke part, but you'd think if the market is declining overall you might try to actually appease your costumers. If you want what would have been considered crumbs in 2018, then you need to get rid of the blacks and trannies in your game and have more hot women.

The fact that AssCreed is still using Players this late into the game tells you everything you need to know. I also see adds about the game being 25% off so I doubt any sales they are making a big dent in that games bloated development cost.

>The people doing content where dps matters (i.e. m+ after +10) are doing their rotations perfectly because rotations are fucking easy.
you are giving the average wow player way too much credit
