The player is "The Angel" but we can also be "the demon heart," just like Noelle has the most "angel" symbolism in the story but can be twisted into a force for evil. Remember that "angel" just means "messenger."

No it isn't. There's a reason Tob Fox and co. deleted the withering flower sprite in one update before way later finally giving it a new one in the next. The rose withering sprite was deemed objectionable for the interpretation/memes of deflowering (or raping) Noelle.
