Which one is good and which one is bad? The top would be an accurate depiction of mid-day when the shadows are heavier and you don't have as much red light bouncing everywhere, but the bottom suits a low sun angle more at specific times of the day and gives a more nostalgic feel, the way you feel when the sun sets.
I'd have to see them in-game to know which one is better, one just has more red light reflecting (the way light works in many cases and in art), the other has a more defined mid-day sun and heavy shadow look. Neither of them look outright better, light doesn't work the same every day or every time of the day.
