Bro, my department just employed an 18 years old Ukrainian guy because there are no Poles wanting to come to my factory. I am training him for senior technical operator btw, someone straight from the street/high school, with milk under his nose
albeit he's a good guy and is learning really fast, can't complain, he has right attitude. But yeah, my factory runs on Moldovans and Ukrainians, other departments - Filipino, Columbians; without them there's simply not enough Poles. Just 10 years ago when boomers were more or less still working, whole factory was ONLY Poles. Things changed. Zoomies don't want factory work.
