Among many, many others. Some games have absolutely spectacular soundtracks, many games have phenomenal single tracks. Most of the "best of" games you've ever read or heard about? Yeah, they have musical compositions that are LOVED. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a game where it's entire theme is music, and it lives up to that.

Most Final Fantasies each have a multitude of excellently composed musical tracks/themes which pair wonderfully with the character/area/situation. But, even when just listening to the musical track alone and appreciating the sound, FF8 is TOP 3 for Final Fantasy soundtracks, yes.
And that's 80+ tracks, not just "less than a dozen."

Nobuo Uematsu is a brilliant man. We were blessed to have him compose music for video games. He's a very big reason why "Final Fantasy" became so famously popular; his music is phenomenal.

Nobuo Uematsu is a genius composer and "The Best" video game musical director that has ever existed. A good man.
