I wonder how many people reference that role instead of all the other stuff he's done. You'd think Thrones or Wire, but no, it's CIA that the people care about.

Low bar but for me this was easily the best of the season so far and a return to form.
At least it had good pacing and an A-plot and B-plot, which the show hasn't been doing very much recently

About half of season 7 was very good and just as rewatchable as anything from the earlier "classic" seasons (such as the fear hole, and the clip show with the observers).
But I think this is because in s7 they tried to compensate for Roiland's absence by using some of the strongest story concepts that they had been sitting on, and would have held off on for longer if he hadn't been fired.
With season 8 the well has run dry, and it has only 1 decent episode out of 5 so far imo (decent largely because it's nostalgia baiting off of one of the best episodes ever)
