maybe people just kind of like starlo but he doesn't inspire people to write like some of the other characters do. I at least can't think of many people that actively dislike starlo, and he's not kicked to the wayside like some other characters are. Maybe chujin is a more "interesting" idea even if people like Starlo. honestly while axis has some wonky dialogue, it feels like there should be another powergap between him and dalv with how much of a non entity dalv is that the only people who care about him are gay shippers, and here those people would pick other characters over him even.

because fates worse than death can always be used as fates an antagonist specifically inflicted on someone else, and the threat, possibly empty possibly not, that the same fate could be inflicted on the players or the people they love motivates them to fight against the dark. against the horrors and the screaming dark. at the beginning of time god died, but his only daughter survived and while she fights her hardest to keep us from seeing it, it can see us. someone needs to face it.

mettaton is an outlier who does not chase after you himself, and all the mercenaries that get sent after you fold even easier to the guard against a warm smile. its fine if you want to head cannon monsters that will hunt you down but clover has already made friends with the monsters in the dunes.
also pour water on the ground in 120 degree weather. hotland may be a little hotter, but I assure you the type of heat that a place like the dunes would have would absolutely stop undyne before she reached wherever clover was since the dunes is a lot larger than the area undyne chases you through in hotland. you're welcome to headcanon that something would hunt down clover. we are having a head canon based discussion after all, but the number of monsters that cant be talked down that we have seen is in the single digits im pretty sure. like another anon said, when it was frisk, all it took was frisk being nice and half of monster kind jumped into asgores throne room on frisks behalf. most monsters are just built different

>go in and fight roba there, and she has the key to the steamworks
would fit both and you visit the estate during geno too (which could have no music playing at all, maybe roba could even be in kanako's room for the extra gut punch)
