so me (35) and my wife (33) are in an open relationship with her best friend, a trans woman (33). they've been best friends since they were 6. i'm told a relationship like this could never work, yet it's worked for us for 10 years now. i've never looked into it, but how often do open relationships like this work out? for us, there's 100% no jealousy. when it comes to sex, there's never a "just the two of us tonight" situation, but lots of times one of us will "read the room" and just watch, or do something else, though most of the time we at least find out upfront if we're having sex, or a threesome. does anyone have any experience with a relationship like this?
