Problem is that modern West is tangeled in Post Modern No Ideology world. These days with wide spread education and Internet everyone can feel like an individual. And Fialure of collective ideologies in the XXth century fueled that Individualistic Ideologies are true and Every human is it's own in the societal organism.
These days people just don't seem to belive in Collective ideologies.
