Jesus might have established the dissolution of the old covenant and that his emergence established a new one that is universal to all men, but the mysticism of God picking the jews first still lingers.

Christianity is the most diversely splintered abrahamic religion with like a gazillion denominations. In the USA alone we have an entire history of protestant schizos playing number oujai with Revelations and coming up with absolutely insane shit.
