One day, Tails finds himself trapped in some kind of cyber world that Sage put him into by capturing him while he was asleep. The virtual world he finds himself in is meant to be an infinite prison but Sage didn't create a perfect fool-proof system and left backdoors and data breaches that leak into Eggman's wider network.
Tails uses these security risks to start fucking with Eggman's machines, factories and even energy/power supplies. Sage and later Eggman start making the virtual world Tails is in more hostile and violent towards him but Tails eventually finds away through all their traps and the game ends with Tails forcing an ultimatum for the two to let him go or he'll start screwing with and editing Sage's direct source code which will screw her up in ways none of them can predict.
