Guess what, every single version of Tekken has been a joke. For timmymashing only. In your glorious 5DR Kazuya could do df4,4 and it would push back so far half of the roster can't punish a move that's supposed to be launch. No, not a bad punish, no punish. Strings that are supposed to be natural will just whiff sometimes for no reason. Every single character could spam retarded shit with impunity because of random variable pushback and no thought put into risk/reward. Those gifs of random 360 degree tracking in 7/8? Tracking has ALWAYS been utterly random and never communicated in game. Tekken 7 season 2 is the closest the series ever came to being functional and then they said lol nope and made it worse with every update since. If you want to be an elitist prick at least do it over something worthwhile.

Played against a Lars, sidestepped one of his attacks to be behind him and he does a fucking 180 degree turn, I quickly sidestep and I'm to his side this time. Guess what? He does the 3rd hit of his fucking string and does a 90 degree turn and hits me.
This is just pure cancer. It's unfun. The character is stupid as fuck and I can't believe they haven't changed it.
