In all honesty, I'm not doing weird route because I WANT to see the characters suffer. I do it because it makes me feel genuine discomfort and disgust in ways most indie games don't do.
Nothing really phases me outside of scat or whatever, I've read Maggot Baits and Sadistic Blood and I've seen tons of transgressive arthouse films. I like when fiction manages to evoke a wide range of negative emotions in me.
Ok wait, if I have to scat on someone then I'll immediately abort the route. I don't give a fuck if it's 95% of the way through I'm NOT engaging in poop stuff.
