yeah, it's the open world that gets really tiring. and the combat to some extent. the combat system is too simple to warrant a game of this size imo. sure there are a lot of builds but there is not enough variance in the way that you play. how many people get through the game braindeadly spamming jump attacks because it is that easy and efficient? or just poking a boss every now and then inbetween their flurry of anime attacks? fully upgrading weapons also takes an ungodly amount of stones so you're not very incentivized to try new ones.
