If the N8rth actually wanted to ship all the slaves back to Africa, then they could have done the same thing Britain did and bought all of them at market price rather than starting the Civil War, illegally amending the Constitution, forcing a military occupation on the South, etc. You can't free someone and then force him to move somewhere anyway. That's not how freedom works.

Most northtards had never seen a black, and just assumed they were like white people but with darker skin (you know, kind of like what sheltered white liberals think blacks are like today). Most of the antislavery sentiment in those days played into the idea of Christian mercy, brotherhood, etc. Southerners who actually lived in proximity to blacks knew better from experience, and didn't want to live in a country with libtards who were hellbent on granting blacks citizenship.
