The best version of Misaki for me would be a mix between anime Misaki and manga Misaki. With the history of abuse of the anime which would forge her personality and the manga version where that makes her spiteful and conniving, which would make the fact Misaki isn't surrounded by betas make sense. I'm just starting the manga to check out how different Misaki is there. Even with her "flaws" I don't understand what is so bad about her offer. I mean if Satou kept up with the treatment and slowly improved alongside Misaki, he would get rehabilitated and come out with a cute gf out of the ordeal.
But instead he drops off and takes the most convoluted and difficult route by getting a hard job. Not like you can find a girl who will tolerate a degenerate coomer lolicon everywhere.
I appreciate that from the manga. Satou clearly is a drug addict (and probably fried his brain which is why he makes such bad decisions and has low impulse control), is more clearly a pedo and fantasizes about raping Misaki up to where I've read. Not many girls will tolerate that so he truly struck gold in being found by Misaki who is also young, cute and still almost in prime breeding age.
