Serious question. How do you make a character have or receive a disability in a videogame without it looking like pandering? Obviously the Khadgar wheelchair thing is retarded because he was literally vaporized and then just poofs back completely fine except is now just wheeling around in a purple chair. But there has to be a way where it can work naturally, and even be cool in a "battle scarred" kind of way.

Does anyone have any good examples of that?
