It did this to two characters. 3 if we're counting leather Falco, 4 if we're counting setting up Peppy to retire, 5 if we're counting no mention of fox's dad or really anything to do with the original storyline. The biggest insult is probably that the character that changes the least is Slippy and even he gets fucking married and has children in one ending of Command. Like I said it was the other M of it's time, down to being cucked out of using beam weapons.
