They force a change in the design because they know the white market is shrinking and they need to appeal to darkies. Darkies see old white redneck sitting there and read "old country store" and say to themselves that isn't where they should go. They probably polled people on the new redesign, not on what people liked the most, but on what offended the least amount of people.
