impalers are kind of amusing from a gameplay perspective.
in hd1, they were some real cancer to deal with, being "kill on sight" enemies due to how they cause area denial, and often are off-screen
in hd2, any nigger spamming the stalwart or scorcher into its brain kills it. its more of a nuisance that ragdolls you when you least expect it, while being unpredictable
you have this giant, massive armored bug, that dies to a retard blasting 50 rounds from the stalwart into its forehead. which might be 1-2 seconds at fuller RPM.

its amusing.

The Peacemaker is an okay starter weapon, but it really stops being noteworthy once you get most other sidearms.
Redeemer has more dakka, Warrant is a direct upgrade, Verdict is the bigger brother, Talon being competition for the Verdict, and the Senator being the biggest hitter.
And that is before we look at the other options.

The baseline Liberator will see you through many scenarios. It kills chaff, can punch slightly above its wage, and thats all it needs to do. There's several options for other playstyles, but if you want a gun that is a good all-rounder, the base Liberator will see you through.
