The concept isn't bad, the reason it was changed is retarded though since the justification for samus being in zero suit for the chozodia segment is that she lost confidence so the suit comes off (yes this is real you can look it up, it's in the same Q&A session with sakamoto that confirmed samus no longer had metroid DNA at the end of fusion)
