No, squids dont 'work well together' because nothing in this game 'works together'. When not in combat, mobs move as a patrol blob or stay still. On contact with the player, they will all move into range at their own best speed and attack until they die, eccentricities in movement behavior aside. Thats literally it, any semblance of teamwork is an illusion. QED.
