The badab war book and then the handful of primaris mentions are all we have aside from the occasional blurb about them losing somewhere. I'd say there's a lot of freedom to do them to your tastes since they've been reinforced and depleted so many times. If you want my recipe I've got it here. Skip the sponging step and go straight to highlights if you don't want them weathered. Mine are a little weird cause theyre based on playing card suits, so I've got different heraldry for each of the suits
