She was rarely presented as a mentor, but in the few instances where she does she had some decently important shit to say. Rudolph is more of an observer than anything throughout the show, a legend that people aspire to. She's the boss of the school but everyone is afraid of her, and she tends to stay in her office or only fraternize with older racehorses from her generation, usually just watching young talent from the sidelines but not interfering so much.
