Duncan is portrayed has one of the best warrior in the empire in the book. He also sort of become the protagonist in the last books but mostly just side action fluff for what Dune is really about in its broader themes; humanity at large, destiny vs determinism, the damage of following charismatic leader, "plans within plans"... If you have no clue about Messiah (second book, upcoming third part) well its about all the damage Paul will cause to the universe and how he's not the kwisatz haderach but his son Leto II is and will cause way more damage and tyranny for 3500 years upon the universe from the Golden Path he foresaw as the only survival path for humanity. As a God hybrid man-worm monopolizing the spice that only he can create to hold humanity shackle to his will

Never saw it. The trailer was enough to tell me this latest was a globo-homo remake. You just know that when they make a remake of a classic it's to pervert and destroy it. I'll stick to the Lynch (1984) version and the 2000 miniseries directed by John Harrison ("Frank Herbert's Dune").

Fun fact, sun rays change wavelengths when they go through glass, and the new wavelength cannot pass back through the glass again. That means shades inside your window do nothing to prevent heat from getting in, while shades outside your window effectively eliminate it.
