I think AI will inadvertently create a bigger demand for higher quality media created by actual people. The amount of goop humans who will be using AI to create the same exact shit over and over again is going to be insane. You already see it now; the moment something inventive comes out you have half a dozen chink/poo versions of it out within a year. The speed and number of those is only going to get worse.
The saddest part about all of this is that the cycle of you being able to sit down and enjoy something new and interesting is going to be cut down significantly. Gone will be the days of having something niche for any reasonable amount of time. Gatekeeping will be all but impossible. The creation will either need to be aggressively autistic to keep hordes at bay, or you'll simply have to go offline to not experience its death or see it bastardized.
