It felt hyper-real, it's rare to find a film that truly says fuck you to every piece of politics and/or ideology that exists. Everything in the world of Eddington is a contradiction, much like the real world. This short scene elevated the entire film too. It kind of shocked me that Ari turned the movie that sharply, I think he knew it was brilliant too which was why he played that funny music sting. It felt like it was poking fun at Quentin Tarantino a little. Ari says the film is "About the building of a data center", it's a big picture film, the only thing that matters is the data center. The people in power just want it up and running, no one in that dead town matter and they're all preoccupied with doomscrolling and fighting over politics while being engrossed in their online bubble communities which is directly curated by the tech giants. Very dark film.

It was to kill the to be Major and make sure the Data center was built under the guise of extremists antifa killing the cops which were actually elite soldiers funded by the tech elite.

It's really good, it's Ari's best. If his career ends here, I gotta say he has balls at the least. Also a visually beautiful film.
