You're assuming a lot about things YOU enjoy. There are not "a lot" of people just like you it turns out. No matter how you frame this as some war you're winning. Superman has always and will always be so much bigger than Cavill and Snyder. How can you see so much that isn't there? It's just not there. It's not deep and allegorical and heavy and meaningful. It's slo-mo dark seriousness that doesn't earn its attempted pretentiousness. It's laughable. You people are like lowest common denominator minds but you see all this depth in a really stupid corporate misfire. I know there's really no way for you to see it from any other perspective though. It's like arguing politics with someone out of their depth and deep into their beliefs of "how it is". It's pointless.
You go ahead and enjoy your Snydershit. But it's over. He's not coming back to DC. His work will not be reappraised and considered all amazing someday by mainstream critics either. You guys can keep liking it. Support his netflix endeavors. Or are you next going to claim it's not only not about Superman, it's not even about Snyder, that it's ONLY that combo and you couldn't give a flying fuck what else he does. In which case, I guess live it up. Because there will be no more opportunity for you to defend Snyder DC in another month. It just won't be a topic. Or will you guys come back with this whenever anything DC happens? That'll be interesting. I'm sure you'll move on to something else.
