Obviously she was somewhat inorganically pushed hard. They gambled and succeeded.
Often times when you try too hard like Sunday, Feixiao, Mavuika, etc they end up being a flop as a character and only successful on what gameplay merits they have.
They don't end up pulling a fandom that gives two shits if they flop or power creep out.
