And unsolicited advice. People would sometimes come up and tell me how some fat guy they knew did this or that and lost weight.
Looks and even unintentional insults added up. Plus I was tired of being ignored by women. Thankfully I was able to get slim young enough to have gotten female attention and some sex. I'd gone my whole life being fat and not considered for relationships. Sex is a huge motivator. And once you've experienced being attractive to people you tend to keep the weight off.
