The entire game is a schizo melty episode playing out in wuchangs head. Either she wakes up and leaves or it'll keep repeating. The other npcs such as the ming emperor or zhao yun means literally nothing as they're always rolled back in time too each time the dream loops. The only NPC that is not fully affected by it is seemingly the taoist. Duryal, boatman and zhao yun may seem to know more but they're reversed when the dream loops all the same.
