I think the most posing you are gonna get out of him is heavily dictated by how dynamic you place the feet.
A slight tilt forward and to the side while pointing the weapon level could give you a good firing pose, for instance.
That will involve cutting a few things and reposing, I recommend looking at how knights players do it in large scale first... Which I of course can't find right now for you but it's out there.
