My angsty Black Legion band are performing a series of raids on outposts and ships against a system ruled by a Forge World and protected by the Iron Hands, to secure intel and artifacts of value in a prelude to invasion alongside a host of Blood Pact.

I got back into the hobby at the same time as a friend of mine, he's got an Arbites Kill team and is working on converting up an Iron Hands one as the beginning on an Iron Hands army. His decision to start a Marines army is one of the reasons I started a Chaos one. I've been playing KT with him while he slowly builds his army to join in on some 500-750+ pt 40k games.

Character reliant armies include Guard and Thousand Sons as their army rules revolve entirely around their characters being alive. Flashy guys I'd say tyranids or custodes. Nids have a lot of solo big guys that can rampage and custodes are technically an army of heroes.

Ynnari lore was completely awful in the same way that every 'major narrative change' is bad. It's impactfulness is kneecapped by 40k being a saturday morning cartoon where the state of play can barely change.

The plot line is mainly bad because it suffers from the problems that lot of eldar stories/lore suffers from. Ie. it 's basically misery porn.
Which isn't surprising since Gav is the one writing them, and his collegue has confirmed that Gav just hates and despises elves.

But in case with the Ynnari that misery porn has been cranked up to 11, it's the reason why we get such dumb fucking shit like an entire craftworld INTENTIONALLY by their own volition infecting the craftworld with genestealers, which then also gave us the dumbshit idea of Avatar of Khaine that is also somehow got infected by the genestealers.
Then there's that Shalaxi moment where he fights the Ynnari and is handily beating them and killing many of them, and easily could've all the eldar in the fight. But then it is actually revealed it is not really Shalaxi but his fucking shadow clone or something and he then gloats like a bad anime villain going "i'm not even using 0.1% of true power"
Then there's also that one weird reveal with the exodites that Yvraine visits, and it's revealed that eldar *somehow* can reincarnate since when talking with one of the exodites Yvraine does some magic shit and unlocks all the memories of his soul, which the exodite his OWN memories from the War in Heaven, the Fall and even how he was reincarnated/reborn after the Fall happened.
Even though this makes zero fucking sense because if an eldar dies with a soul stone, their soul will slip into the Warp, just like with humans. But unlike with humans, eldar souls would instantly found and then get eaten by Slaanesh.

It really feels like that Gav intentionally cranked up the shittiness factor for the Ynnari books and he intentionally wrote this garbage and tried his hardest shit all over them, just because he hates elves.

You'll have to be selective with your targets to utilize your yield thresholds and bring the BS back up to a 4+. The first couple of turns you'll likely be using the tremor shells to hit long-range targets in no man's land on 4s and then once you hit your YP threshold you can switch to breacher ordinance and camp on your own objectives and blast people coming for them. Not really the place to discuss it but I get constant intrusive thoughts that sometimes hijack my train of thought and sometimes get a warped sense of reality where I'm not sure if I am remember something that happened or something that I imagined happened. With the meds I still get the constant split mindedness but it's a bit easier to distinguish where those threads came from and keep straight what's actually going on.

I know people with way more severe cases than mine though (my grandmother had a very severe case) and I've been dealing with it for most of my adult life with help from therapists so I manage better than some.

Warhammer 40k is cool and so are you guys by the way. I am always interested to see all your own imagined realities of what the 40k universe is supposed to be and your willingness to fight to the hilt to impose your ideas on top of others.
