Ok here's the current status of Jurassic
This is what Rogue 1 was to Star Wars what Rebirth was to Jurassic Park.
The 2nd best Jurassic film since the original.
It's the most original movie since JP.
It side steps all the Jurassic World JJ Abrahms muh nostalgia nonsense and doesn't touch the absurb storyline of Dominion.
It is a stand alone piece more connected with the theme of the original book and the lost world book.
It has very little nostalgic parts (but isn't free of them)
It has genuine horror moments.
The CGI is 3rd behind JP and TLW.
It is like Jurassic park 3 but good is the easy way to summize it.
Yes its brilliant.

Pretty impressive considering it has no IMAX screens. Only has a budget of $180 million (vs Superman $360+ million and Fantastic Four's $250 million) pretty much guaranteeing a success.
